RE: CD wing load stress analysis spreadsheet 29 Nov 2013 15:20 #45

Hi Don,

Very good point! I'll update the spreadsheet to show that I am basing my calculations on 0.092" x 0.220" rods (available from Jim Marske Aircraft - see links page.)

I'm currently working on building the foam plugs for fabricating the leading edge moulds - I'll post up new photos in the next week or so.

Please keep in touch and let me know if you intend to start building a CD for yourself - there's a *lot* of traffic on the new CD website, which suggests there's still interest in this old bird!

All the best,

Phil Lardner.

Great tool. One question I have is the on the wing stress analysis sheet, the reference to \"number of rods\" doess not indicate *which* size/type of CF rods. Guess I could \"reverse engineer\" the sspecss from the numbers but thought I\'d ask first, maybe simpler to start with.

Thanks in advance.
