That sounds like a really neat process. Thank you. I am not knocking it by any means as I have not ever done a layup that way.
The only problem I see is that it could be heavy. Resin is the enemy in light layups. I'm sure it is fine for a mast but I could see problems in uncontrolled weight.
Vacuum bagging squeezes out all unneeded resin. That's part of the reason it is done. There may be a way to vacuum bag over a male mold but getting a smooth finish on the outside would be the issue. I'm sure it could be done.
The Arc unfaired is 120 lbs. It's going to take extremes to get there.
