Yeah my wire tension should have been tighter on those cuts. You would be amazed that the sculpting you can do with foam. My wheel pants on the Pitts are foam. They are 22" long and one layer of fiberglass over the foam. Filled the weave with polyurethane glue which expands and is extremely light. Worked great and is surprisingly easy to do. They weigh 7oz with all the hardware and paint. You could use them on an ultralight.
