Debagging the cured parts after 48hrs curing at room temperature:

The parts were post-cured in an electric (kitchen) oven for 4hrs@40C, then 4hrs@50C, 4hrs@60C and finally 4hrs@80C. The reason for post curing to such a high temperature is to ensure that the epoxy resin will remain at full strength and hardness at the higher temperatures the glider may experience in full French sunlight!

Demoulding the post-cured parts:

Coming soon... trimming and finishing the parts...

Phil.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for coming out yesterday evening to see me pretending to be Bert Rutan!

You've seen the real thing... now watch the video!

Enjoy,

Phil.

PS - All ship shape and Bristol fashion this morning (everything still looks good) - I did have to briefly clamp off the vac-bag and change the paper cup in the catch pot, as it was nearly full of excess resin and posed a danger of catching fire (it was still almost too hot to touch this morning!)
